♫I will live to carry Christ’s compassion, to love a world that’s broken, to be his hands and feet.  I will live with the life that I’ve been given, and go beyond religion to see this world be changed by the power of your name♫

~lyrics, Lincoln Brewster

MAY 2011 – My family and I traveled from Wisconsin to Jacksonville, Florida to celebrate the first anniversary of Sisterhood Of Servants.

July 2011 –  Our Rummaging For Rewards yard sale fundraiser was a huge success (even though no one actually held a yard sale! ☺)  Through the generosity of many donors, over $4000 was raised.  The net proceeds from the fundraiser were used to finalize printing and promotion of the S.O.S. Girls Leader Guide and finance our first homeschool exhibitor display.

August 2011 – I finished writing our S.O.S. Girls Leaders Guide just in time to debut it at the Chicago Homeschool  Expo.  We were blessed with a great location for our exhibitor booth and had the opportunity to speak with scores of home educators about S.O.S. Girls.

October 2011 – My husband accepted a position at the Renaissance World Golf Village and we began to make plans to move our family back to Jacksonville.  I also began the logistical challenge of moving S.O.S. headquarters to Jacksonville.

January 2012 –

*Pat Ezell joined our board as Vice Chairman ☺

*I had my first meeting with Greg Mann, Director of missions at Trinity Baptist Church, to talk with him about the Global Sisterhood Initiative  and the ministry we’ll be doing with missionary, Kevin Pestke in Zambia, Africa.  (pictured at right:  Kevin, his wife Savannah, and their daughter Analiese)

February 2012 –

*I received approval from the administrators at Trinity Christian Academy to start a chapter of S.O.S. Girls among the study body.  Plans moved forward to promote awareness of S.O.S. Girls in Jacksonville.

March 2012 –

Our Birdhouse Bonanza Spring fundraiser was launched.  Home Depot® stores donated 72 birdhouse kits.  We promoted a community wide decorating contest. Proceeds will be used to expand S.O.S. Girls and start several new chapters in N.E. Florida.

April 2012 – Our first meeting of S.O.S. Girls Jacksonville took place with 15 young women in attendance.  To God be the glory!
